Bokashi Bran – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Bokashi Bran. By using our website (https://bokashibran.co.za/shop/) or purchasing products, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Orders & Payments

• Orders for products can be made online via our website or by contacting us directly at info@bokashibran.co.za
• Full payment is required to confirm your order.
• Payments are processed through secure payment gateways that comply with Mastercard and other card association rules.
• You are responsible for ensuring that your payment details are accurate and that you have sufficient funds.
• Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
• Orders over R850 qualify for free delivery using the PUDO locker service, excluding pallet collar compost boxes and 50-litre drums. Delivery quotes for these items will be provided via email.

2. Cancellations, Refunds & Returns

• If you need to cancel your order, please notify us in writing at info@bokashibran.co.za within 24 hours of placing the order.
• Refunds for eligible returns (subject to our money-back guarantee, where applicable) will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method, subject to bank processing times.
• Products must be returned in their original condition and packaging. Contact us at info@bokashibran.co.za to arrange returns.
• Bokashi Bran reserves the right to refuse returns if products are damaged or used, except where faulty.
• We may cancel an order if we are unable to fulfil it, in which case you will be offered a full refund.

3. Product Use & Requirements

• Bokashi Bran products are designed for composting food waste using the bokashi system. It is your responsibility to follow the provided instructions for optimal use.
• Ensure proper layering of food waste with Bokashi Bran® as instructed (e.g., 100ml per 7cm layer for 20-litre buckets, and 300ml per 7cm layer for 50-litre drums) to avoid rotting or odours.
• You are responsible for ensuring that drums or buckets are sealed and free from contaminants like plastic, tin, or glass.
• Bokashi Bran is not liable for improper use of products or failure to follow instructions.

4. Product Quality & Expectations

• Bokashi Bran® is manufactured under strict quality control using EM® technology from Japan and local South African microbes.
• While we strive to provide the highest quality products, composting outcomes may vary depending on usage, environmental factors, and adherence to instructions.
• We do not guarantee specific composting results but offer a money-back guarantee on select products (T&Cs apply).

5. Delivery

• Free delivery via PUDO locker service is available for orders over R850, excluding pallet collar compost boxes and 50-litre drums.
• Door-to-door delivery is available at an additional cost outside Gauteng. A delivery quote will be provided for oversized items.
• Delivery times may vary depending on location and courier service availability.
• Bokashi Bran is not liable for delays caused by third-party couriers or circumstances beyond our control.

6. Liability

• Bokashi Bran and its employees will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from:
  • Failure to follow product instructions,
  • Improper storage or use of products,
  • Contamination of composting systems with non-organic materials, or
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
• Nothing in these terms limits your rights under South African consumer protection laws.

7. Privacy & Data Protection

• Bokashi Bran complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
• We collect, use, and store your personal information solely for the purposes of processing orders, delivering products, and communicating with you.

8. Website Use & Intellectual Property

• All content on https://bokashibran.co.za/shop/, including text, images, logos, and product descriptions, is owned by Bokashi Bran.
• You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without prior written consent.
• Bokashi Bran® is a registered trademark, and unauthorised use may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.

9. Payment Links & Security

• Bokashi Bran uses secure payment links and gateways that meet industry standards for encryption and fraud prevention.
• You are responsible for ensuring the payment link you use originates from our official channels (our website or official communications).
